Take an over the counter anti-nauseant

There are a few over the counter  medications you can take to treat your motion sickness, such as Gravol.

Stay hydrated

Staying hydrated is an important step in limiting your symptoms from motion sickness. Make sure to drink plenty of water, and limit intake of caffeine and alcohol during your trip.

Some other remedies that could help you include ginger, peppermint or chamomile. Brew yourself a cup of tea for the drive and skip that second cup of coffee.

Others steps you can take

Other things you can do to help mitigate symptoms include getting some fresh air from an open window, and choosing to sit in the front seat during the drive. If you’re on a bus or a train, choose a forward facing seat.

Distracting yourself may also help by taking your mind off of how you’re feeling. You can choose to be the driver, or, listen to an engaging podcast!

If you need help picking something up from the pharmacy, ask the team at Lakeside Medicine Centre.
